Pinback - Summer In Abaddon

I read about the new Pinback album a few weeks ago on Pitchfork. I really liked Offcell by these guys, but overall, I think their other EPs and album (i.e. Blue Screen Life) were not that great. So it was really refreshing to hear this new album which is pretty good!
I had the CD for a while, I just hadn't listened to it it until today. Pinback uses a very sparsh sound, but the songs always have a lot of body. They often use a piano in the background, and their pieces seems to develop a lot over time. Each song has its own kind of theme, which I really appreciate, and I like the small voice that the singer uses. It is very moody music, and not good for all occasions, but certainly well done.
