Ola Podrida

Ola Podrida is the one-man indie-folk project of David Wingo (what an awesome name). He hails from Austin, and that's very clear when listening to the music ... lushly layered organic acoustic guitar lines that melds beautifully with Wingo's confident voice, atmospheric echoes and harmonies, and the crackles of a sepia-tone production.

The band released its self-titled debut on Plug Research just three days ago so get it while it's hot over here!

What a gorgeous band ... everything's so dutifully strung out, so perfectly arranged and carried through ... there's a deliberation to it all, but the naturalness of this folk-twinged indie-rock is priceless.
