Lindstrøm & Christabelle

This morning, Pitchfork gave the Aeroplane remix of the new Lindstrøm & Christabelle track, "Baby Can't Stop," a great score (8/10), which prompted me to post it to BBBD for your listening pleasure.

Christabelle (what a name) adds some woozy, buttery vocals to an already spacey disco jam by the Norwegian dance maestro, who seems completely incapable of both not making music and not pushing the envelope with every one of his projects. Relentlessly, he continues to get better and more innovative with his unique breed of ethereal disco for today's modern world.

One of my favorite parts is the Missy Elliott Cybotron "Clear" shout-out (it's likely inadvertent, though) at the beginning. As usual, Aeroplane dolls out a sufficiently energy-boosting remix that at no point diminishes the aesthetic and strength of the original track.

To cite "one of your favorite parts" as a "Missy Elliot shout-out" is ignorant as shit and prevails to your readership your knowledge of music or lack thereof.

God, you are a jerk!

You're 100% correct that the hook in question is an homage to Cybotron and not Missy Elliott in that anything using that hook is derivative of the original (not the rip-offs), whether the artist acknowledges/likes it or not.

I'm well aware of the history. Don't call me out for a post I made hastily and for the sole purpose of distributing an MP3. I should've constructed the text better, but come on, Jason--no need for the malevolence.

To quote Solzhenitsyn who was a profound hater of western music here is... interesting? Come to think of it, wasn't Solzhenitsyn quite the hater himself? that makes this even more interesting.
Thanks for the song Mercer!

I appreciate how you guys seem to have morphed BBBD into a place for philosophical discourse. Nothing wrong with that!

Thanks for backing me up, everyone but Jason. Much obliged.

Dear Jason,
It sounds like you could use a warm bath and some Breakfast in Heaven. Also, getting laid could be 'something productive' for you to consider, as opposed to prowling the Internet for people to harass. You should consider unsubscribing A.S.A.P.

C'est fini.
