Detour Festival 2007

This year's Detour Festival was quite a bit of fun. So much, in fact, that I just didn't really get any photos. Or even make it to see all the groups for that matter. I did indeed shoot a few good ones of Shout Out Louds, though, and they played quite a solid show, really got the earlier crowd movin', and a pitiful three of Justice, who DJ'ed okay.

The Justice crowd literally mauled me. I've two broken wrists. I'm dictating this post into a microphone that seems to have "learned" my voice surprisingly well.
Okay, so maybe it wasn't quite that bad, but I did end up with a bruise on my chest and a newfound claustrophobia ...

Justice just was boring. They're album is what everyone loves, not their uber-choppy, poorly selected sets. They build up and build up and lead you on and lead you on and then ... there's absolutely no climax. I wanted to hear at least one genuine sound byte from "Phantom," but I couldn't even get a mosh going. Check out a few shots after the jump or just grab a couple tracks ...
